| Convexs and Invexs readers extended to DESFire EV1 |
 Nedap Security Management has extended the use of its Convexs and Invexs readers. They could already read several card types thanks to the multi-card technology and have now been adjusted to read DESFire EV1 cards as well. The card readers support different encryption technologies, among which AES. Migration of standard Mifare to DESFire EV1 can be realized easily with a configuration file that can be programmed via a key card, as well as through wired communication with the reader. The card readers have a SAM module that allows for very safe storage of the DESFire keys. The readers have different communication interfaces through which they are able to function with other systems. In addition to these technical advantages, the Nedap readers have a modern and stylish design, which makes them very suitable for use in contemporary office buildings.
